“Jenni, I am offering and you will take it,” he replied. “I do not need to answer your question.” He yanked out his phone, flipped it open.
The sweet lady came over. “Did I over hear you are going to get the misses a room at a hotel?”
Owen looked at the lady. “Yes,” he replied, took note of her super hearing. She must have a hearing aid on all the way up.
“I got news darling,” she replied. “All the hotels are occupied by the sports fans.” She looked at Jenni and smiled. It was like the old lady was setting Owen and Jenni up.
“Thank you,” he said. “But I will see if I can find one. I have a few listed in my phone.” He made two phone calls and it was true there were no vacant rooms in the hotels. Each hotel explained the fans had got all the rooms in hotels. That could be the reason why Jenni got a hellhole room hotel.

Jennifer listened quietly to his conversation with the lady and then watched him as he called a few places. After calling about 2 hotels he gave up, "Is she right then?" She had overheard from the manager of the hotel she was staying in that most of his rooms had been booked apart from a few that were left, one of which she had got. As soon as she looked around the room she realised why people had chosen not to come to the hotel. Sometimes she really hated sports, but it couldn't be helped, this was the only place there was left; she had been secretly hoping that Owen could get a hotel though, "What now? Is there no where left to go?"
Finishing her cup of tea, she looked outside and checked whether it was still raining outside; it had cleared up quite a bit while they had been talking in Justice and outside looked quite nice. Standing up she looked at Owen, "How about that walk then? It might help break the tension a little." She was referring to the old woman who had greeted them, it appeared that she was eavesdropping on their conversation.

It was not easy being an old lady who lived with a husband who did not give a living hoot about his wife. She could not help being noisy and she did not know that inclination was targeted at her.
“Yea,” Owen said, closing the phone and placing the phone his pocket. He paid the lady, not leaving a tip because the player was told by friends they don’t tip. The funny thing the player was almost stuck in London on Christmas Eve heading to Sheffield and the lady gave a few coins to the coach driver. It could be for the troubles he had gone through.
“Please, do come again lovelies,” the female owner said. Owen would help Jenni out of her seat and putting her coat on, if she had accepted his gesture. He slipped his coat on. As they left the Justice, he was a gentleman holding the door for her.

Jennifer accepted his gesture in kind, he was being sweet again, could that be because of her earlier outburst, because he felt sorry for her or it was just what he was like in real life. She sucked in a breath as they exited Justice, the air had turned cold after the rain with a chilly breeze, but at the same time, the night was so clear, it would be a shame to spend it all inside, "It's cold out here, but it's nice."
Looking around she held out her hand to Owen for him to hold, "Are you coming, I think I've been around here before, there's a nice little walk back into the main town where we met. If you'd like to go that way?" She didn't care if he took her hand or not, Jenni was just trying to be nice, and stop being so cold to him, it was a bad habit of hers that she'd gotten into with being alone all the time and she didn't really like it that much, it was a pretty bad trait to have especially if she was wanting to actually get into a relationship anytime soon.

Taking Jenni's offer, Owen took her hand in his hand. She had warm hands. It would help to keep warm, one hand warm from the bitter cold damp weather. He tucked his free hand in his coat pocket. He had her inside of the walkway. It was protecting the lady from on coming traffic and splashes. It was a Calvary virtue.
As they were walking back Owen tugged Jenni’s hand to bring her the direction to his flat. It was about two blocks from the pub he met her.
“My place is up there,” he explained of his apartment complex overlooked the bay. He wasn’t sure she wanted to take a stroll and have a site seeing tour. It was a nice view from walking. It was even a better view from his flat because Owen had the top floor. He had the whole floor which wasn’t much.
He wasn't talkative because he was man. There was nothing on his mind as they were walking. He listened to their footsteps. His guard was up in case any gangs decided to jump and his lady friend.

Owen's hand was pretty cold, so she was glad that she could warm it up at least a little bit for him; she looked up at his apartment realising how big it was when they walked a little closer, it beat the tiny flat she had back at home, "That's your place? Looks like you've got a pretty nice view." She marvelled at the building and the glass front, it overlooked probably the best view in Cardiff and because it was so high, he could probably see everything, "Doesn't that cost you a fortune in rent? How the hell can you afford it on your salary? I can barely afford a small apartment, although I guess living in London isn't exactly the cheapest place in England..." Jenni had looked around at many places before she found a place that she could afford, it was small and quite cozy for one, but the landlord had told her that she could do what she liked with it, that it 'probably needed a woman's touch'. Not being much of a woman, she tried her best with the place and thought she'd done pretty well on it.
They were getting quite close to the building now and she noticed that again, Owen was being pretty quiet, he was a man after all but it would be nice if he would actually talk to her a little bit more than he was doing, "You still haven't told me what we're doing?"

You still haven't told me what we're doing?"
“Well, we can go for a walk,” he replied. “View is nice.” His eyes looked her in the face. She had beautiful face. The same beauty who beat the crap out of that bloke in the bar. She was capable to protect herself.
“We can go up to my place and have fun,” he said, though he was censored to say something due to the audience. He took her other hand and put them together. He was looking deep in her eyes. Rubbing his hands over hands and warming her up. “I do have a fire place.”
