Freezing, Owen had his hands tucked in his brown leather jacket. It was his night off from Torchwood. The chill found its way up his spine. Finally, Owen got to the club. Pulling his right hand, he yanked the door open. This gorgeous blonde with long legs lost her balance and stumbled into Owen’s arms. The smell of her was exciting.
The large hand of her man was grabbing for Owen, but he ducked it by bee lining in the club. The md coughed from the thick smoke. It was stinging his eyes, he was waving his hand and it took him awhile to adjust. “Fucking smokers,” he said.
Moving his way through the drunks and dancers, he got to his destination. The bar was filled with jokers and sexy ladies. Thumbing for the waitress, she smiled sweetly to Owen, “Hey hun, it’s been awhile. What’s your poison?”
“O’Keefe’s draft,” he ordered, he pulled out his wallet, the money and laid it on the counter. “Keep the change,” he told her. He was a big tipper. There was no need for money because he was contracted for life by Torchwood. Money was his last problem. Thank god. He watched some sexy broads grind up against the men and women. He watched three women grinding among themselves. Now that was entertaining.
Until, “Hey, wotcha it!” he said. The beer in his hand fell to the floor shattering. “Bloody hell, just wonderful,” he was rolling his eyes.

Jennifer was bored, she had nothing to do staying in a crappy hotel that didn't even have a TV; sliding on her long, black jacket she let her hair loose before stepping out the door and out of the hotel. Walking down the street, she heard loud music coming from a night club that was just down from her hotel, sighing to herself Jenni stepped inside and was instantly greeted by a drunk guy holding a cigerette dangerously close to a girl's face, "Watcha lookin' at darlin'?" He took a long suck on his fag, "You wantin' some of this?"
Glaring at the guy, she stepped past him into the busy club and made her way to the bar, knocking into people in her rush to get as far away from the guy in the entrance as possible. When she could reach out and touch the bar she shoved at a person so she could fit into the small gap between the people. Huffing a bit she looked at the guy she'd pushed, Jenni had managed to spill his drink and watched as the glass shattered into tiny shards on the floor. The guy hadn't seen her face yet so she quickly ducked down and started picking up the pieces of glass, once she'd finished she placed them all in an ash tray on the bar and looked the guy up and down. He wasn't too bad looking if her taste was anything to go by, "I'm sorry, I wasn't..." Jenni paused and thought for a moment, "Okay, fuck it. I did it on purpose, but I didn't mean for you to spill your drink. Turns out these clubs are just like the ones in London and they always have dodgy blokes too." She took a deep breath, "Hi, my name's Jenni, allow me to buy you another drink." Smiling at him, she asked the waitress for a vodka and coke and whatever the guy was having before she came along.

Wishing, she did not have the long black coat on, Owen mind had wondered off to the danger zone. The mind of a man goes you know where! The broken glass in the ashtray had brought him back to reality. Beer was one of his drinks. He prefer to drink whiskey, but, he saves that when he was home. His eyes moved up and down checking her long black hair, her icy blue eyes, her soft skin and the black coat was hiding other assets of her. Stupid coat of hers!
So, he listened to her excuse. This better be good.
I'm sorry, I wasn't..." Jenni paused and thought for a moment, "Okay, fuck it. I did it on purpose, but I didn't mean for you to spill your drink. Turns out these clubs are just like the ones in London and they always have dodgy blokes too."
So, jerks had tried to pull her for a kiss or a dance or a sexual deed. How did she know she was talking to one? That’s was the point for him going out. He continued to watch her.
His right lip curl, a stupid half smiles of Owen. He brought his hand up to cup her chin. “Luv, how do you know I am not one of these blokes, eh?” He titled his head, gave her a doggy look.
"Hi, my name's Jenni, allow me to buy you another drink."
She had to give her name. That blew the chemistry bubble. It was more fun to snag a bird, drag her out, kiss, take her home, have a night stand, wake up and she be gone. He never wanted to know who they are.
Sticking his hands in his pocket, Owen was rolling his head to the left to iron out the stress in his neck. This was not idea way to go, he thought to himself. “Look,” he said, looking deeply in her blue eyes. He held his finger to her, waved it. “No, allow me buy you a drink because I swear darlin’ if you spill it. I will drink you and drain you.” He smirked to her. That was one of the dumbest remarks he made. Where the hell did that come from? “You might wake up screaming my name, I am Harper, Owen Harper,” he said, leaning touching his lips to hers and he pulled away not kissing her. To sober for this, he thought. She had to spill my first drink. Sigh.
(ooc the blokes in the scene. They know Owen and they are not happy. If you want we can toss them in. But three not more.)

OOC: okay, whatever, let's mix it up a little and make it interesting IC: Jennifer didn't bother pulling away from him, she didn't really understand what he was saying to her, "Drink me and drain me? What the hell does that mean?" Shaking her head at him she looked at the two fresh drinks the waitress had served for them, "Too late mate, have kinda already bought them." She smiled at him slyly before handing over the money, "Take a little extra for yourself too." Jenni looked back at Owen Harper, she'd heard the name before somewhere but couldn't quite put her finger on it. Suddenly feeling a little warm she slid off her coat and folded it over her arm, keeping it close to her in case anything got nicked again, last time someone had stolen her stuff in a night club, she'd caught them in the act and had almost broken their neck. It was not a pretty sight. Underneath she was wearing a plain blue t-shirt which emphasised her curves and how thin she actually was, luckily it didnt quite show her toned muscles in her stomach and arms, that would have just been embarrassing. She also wore a short, black pleated skirt that came to half-way down her thigh and looking lower than that she wore no socks or tights, just trainers, black ones to go with the skirt. Taking a long drink from her glass she looked at Owen and once she put it down she cocked her head to the side, "So how often do you actually come here then Owen? And I wouldn't suggest going back to my place if that's what I think you're thinking of; my place is still in London for the time being and the place I'm staying in now is just a really shitty hotel with paper-thin walls." Jenni sighed, "I was also wondering what your occupation was?"

"Too late mate, have kinda already bought them." She smiled at him slyly before handing over the money, "Take a little extra for yourself too."
Standing opposite from the female, Owen eyed the drinks she had ordered. The waitress winked at Owen, because she knew was going on his mind. Placing his elbow on the bar, he leaned on it. “Thanks, luv,” said Owen.
As she slid off her long coat, he was doting over her body. “Lovely,” he said, bringing his brown eyes up to hers. The situation was wrong. It was he who was supposed to be buying drinks not her. It was more tradition. Buy them the drinks, flirt with them, get them drunk and drag them home.
So how often do you actually come here then Owen? And I wouldn't suggest going back to my place if that's what I think you're thinking of; my place is still in London for the time being and the place I'm staying in now is just a really shitty hotel with paper-thin walls." Jenni sighed, "I was also wondering what your occupation was?
Women do ALL the talking. Toshiko and Gwen are very good at it. Especially, Tosh when she was bored. Gwen can yap away too. Ianto was quiet. That was the one thing Owen liked about Ianto. He was quiet, but those beady eyes are just….creepy.
It was Owen, Ianto, Toshiko and Gwen. They can make a band. He leaned more his weight on his elbow, taking a sip of the beer, when she was done. He had needed a taste of his beer.
So, she was from London. She sounded like it. That’s where he was born, where he went through hell with his mum, gone to school to study to be a medical doctor, got his degree, was going to get married and be happy. That all change by a parasite alien.
“Less often when I want,” replied Owen. She was inviting him to her place. Invites are welcome. If it was her place, god, he would not go there. He accepted the drink she offered to replace his own. That was acceptable. If she invited him to her place, that would go against his wishes. He was not that type of man. Gods no!
“Sorry about the shit nest,” replied Owen, letting his eyes look into her eyes. “My place is not too far, Jenni. And I am a MD."

As he stared at her body that had once been hidden underneath the coat she coughed slightly, trying to get his attention back on her face and off of her physique. It really pissed her off when guys did that, even if they were just trying to get her into bed with them. Jenni rolled her eyes as he dragged his back to hers, "Don't worry about the money, I have plenty of it." She muttered something unintelligible under her breath before taking another swig of her drink.
Jenni watched him watch her for a moment, then cocked her head to the side, he was too quiet to be the usual type of guy that liked to pick-up girls for one night stands, "An MD, very nice. I thought I'd heard of you somewhere, I work as a doctor in London but I'm wanting to move down here for a little while." She knew she'd heard of him before, he'd been at the hospital when she was working there. It had been something important.
Looking around, she noticed the guy that she'd had the unfortunate encounter with in the entrance and cursed under her breath; he was coming right towards them. Jenni looked back at Owen and smiled, "Do you mind bar fights by the way? Or would you rather not get kicked out?" Her face fell as the man reached her and Owen, slamming his fist in between them both onto the bar, "Hello again darlin', didn't think you'd be hangin' out here."

He turned his right ear to her. “What did you say?” he asked. “Luv, it’s loud!”
An MD, very nice. I thought I'd heard of you somewhere, I work as a doctor in London but I'm wanting to move down here for a little while."
How did she hear about him? Did she know about Torchwood? Torchwood was suppose to keep his profile hidden at the London Hospital. His name was supposed not to pop up. “A doctor, nice,” he said, smiling to her. “What makes Cardiff special?”
"Do you mind bar fights by the way? Or would you rather not get kicked out?"
“Oh, you like fights in Cardiff, luv,” he said, turning to look at the idiot who approached Jenni.
Her face fell as the man reached her and Owen, slamming his fist in between them both onto the bar, "Hello again darlin', didn't think you'd be hangin' out here."
“Bloody hell, chap,” he said, stepping up to the man. He grabbed the man by the collar, used his leg to trip the man, the man slammed against the bar. Owen sneered at the man. “I am sick of blokes like you. Can a man have a chat with a lady?” he sneered at the man.

Jenni looked at him, "I know it's loud... I said, don't worry about the money, I have plenty of it." She made sure that she didn't repeat what she'd said under her breath. Smiling at him she took another swig of her drink, "If that's what you were worrying about."
When he asked about Cardiff she grinned at him, "Because I've worked a lot of places, Cardiff just seemed to interest me. That and the hospital here is pretty good." She thought back to her days in London, she'd hated the place, the general look of the building was crap too. Ever since she'd started working there she'd longed to be back abroad with the army; at least she got a few more interesting wounds there.
"Good, because there might just be one soon." She looked at the man again, he was big with greasy looking hair that he was sweeping back out of his face with one hand. He was covered in sweat and stumbling a bit, already too drunk to know what was going on around him. The bloke was pretty big though, but she waged that she could take him down pretty easily, Jenni just hoped it wouldn't be as bad as last time, when she ended up running out the back door, away from the police.
Jenni jumped as Owen grabbed the guy and shoved him onto the bar with one sweep, she hadn't expected that. Looking down at him she couldn't help but smile, he had been easy to get down after all, but it looked like he wasn't done yet, "What the fuck are you doin'?" Shovng Owen out of the way she picked up the man and brushed him down a bit, he looked a little confused and startled at the same time that a smallish woman had picked him up so easily, "Er..." She smiled but her voice was full of cold, "Right, now you better fuck off before I get pissed off with you. Because I'll do more than give you a little shove," her hands were gripped into fists around his collar and the smile fell, "I'll do a lot more."

Jenni pushed Owen away. Owen stumbled over a stood and caught himself on a stool. He got back on his feet cursing. He was watching her. The thug looked like he was scared. She let him go and the thug stumbled into the crowd. The MD was laughing at the thug behind his hand.
Owen was looking at her up and down. “We can play doctor, doctor,” he said, smiling. He would love to wrestle with her. She can beat him up. It would be different and fun.
“Well, luv,” Owen said, taking his drink. He looked at it, took a long gulp. He turned to look at her in the eyes. He pointed his digit at his heart. “I am a man.” He paused. He pointed his finger at her. “You are a woman.” The man was not happy. A man supposed to provide and protect. The doctor did not look happy. He stepped close up to her. His nose was touching her nose. His eyes narrowed into her eyes. He wanted to kiss her. He could feel her hot breath up against his lips. “Kiss me!” He snarled at her.
Occ Crummy reply, I did it fast.

OOC: No problem. Going away for 2 weeks to Switzerland tomorrow so won't be able to reply for a while after this one :S
IC: The man ran off, stumbling into the crowd, but a little faster than he had stumbled over to the bar before. Jenni smiled and turned back to face Owen, "Doctors. They aren't always the nicest of people you know." She grinned at him, flashing her white teeth, "That's what army training will do to you though."
Jenni looked him up and down, he looked like he was upset with her. She rolled her eyes at him, he was probably thinking what all men thought when they had been beaten to a fight by a girl, that he should have got in there first because he was the man; Jenni hadn't wanted to start a bar fight with the prick, that's why she pushed Owen off of him.
Then something she didn't expect, after his many words about her being a woman and him being a man, he stepped right up close to her so their noses were touching together. Jenni felt his breath on her face, felt the heat of his skin, so close to hers and saw the look in his eyes as he ordered her to kiss him. At first she was slightly unsure, she didn't know what to do in this kind of situation, she'd never been picked up by a guy in a bar before, usually she ended up beating the crap out of them and then running so she didn't get caught. Right now she was confused at why that hadn't happened yet, why this man was still standing in front of her. Before Jenni even had time to think about kicking him in the nuts her instincts kicked in without her realising and she kissed him. It was kind of awkward but she pulled away quickly and opened her eyes, realising what she had just done. Glancing down she noticed that her hands were on him, at his sides pulling him gently closer towards her. Hoping that he hadn't noticed, she pulled her arms away quickly.

Her kiss was different. She had a good taste and she gave a small fight. Owen liked a little resistance. It was hard these days to go after a beautiful lady. The challenge was to chase them and not the women throwing themselves at the young doctor. The women who do the chasing are women who are needy. The needy types are no good. They are only good for one night stands or a very short conversation at a bar. Owen had a one night stand with one bird a month ago. The next day they met at the same bar; by accident. She was all over Owen saying how she loved him and they had a long relationship. She had her hands all over him. It was nice at first, but, it was a nightmare. She was very clingy and Owen wanted nothing to do with her. He had no idea where she got those emotion attachments. All he knew was the day after that. She had three men beat him up in the parking lot. It turned out her husband found out and came after Owen. The husband sent his three thugs to beat Owen up.
“Nice kiss,” he replied to her. He felt her hands on his side. He looked down at them. Jenni’ hands where not gentle like the needy women, her hands where more strong but sexy in their own way. Not saying anything, he figured she knew what she was doing. It was a bar. He might see if she will take a lead. If not, that would be okay. All Owen knew he was not in the mood for a desperate broad who is looking for long relationship.
Owen was not sure what he wanted to do with her now! The way she was kissing him was different from the other women. He was not sure she was desperate or running away from relationships. He was never good reading women’s minds. Like the other men, if Owen was not part of Torchwood. He would figure women are aliens from Venus. But, he figure they are from another universe and fell through a rift, landed on Venus and found their way to Earth. That would be his story, but, he knew better.
Anyhow, he did have some interesting relationship with Gwen and Toshiko. Gwen was tough cookie. She is in engage with chubby Welsh truck driver. He had no understanding what Gwen sees in Rhys. It had to be his stupid laugh, or the dimples. Or Gwen could be into chubby men. There was PC Andy who never got in Gwen’s bed. PC Andy was like a puppy dog. He would do anything for Gwen because he is loyal like a stupid mutt.
Toshiko, Owen could not dare. Toshiko was one of those desperate cases. Low self-esteem, can’t say what’s on her mind. And having any kind of fling with Toshiko would be uncomfortable to work with. Toshiko could barely look at Owen at work most the time. Toshiko came from an Oriental background. It was a different culture setting. Toshiko was the family values and he could not deal with the thought that Toshiko had disrespect her family having a fling with him. Owen knew Toshiko was very protective over her mother. Owen wished he had that sort of relationship with his mother. Owen would say yes to a date with Toshiko if she asked. He did consider too ask her himself. But, he never did. He was interested in two things. Was she a Christian? And how would she perform?
Captain Jack Harkness, Owen had admitted Jack had killer eyes, a charisma that could stop a war and have all the gay men running to him. But, Owen does not the swing that way. But Owen willing to do more if a women was involve. And men do kiss well. Owen could admit that. That one man kissed Owen was not all bad. But it was so fun when the girl was jealous over Owen.
Ianto Jones, Owen would go complete gay just to have his coffee. If Ianto and coffee were the last thing on Earth, Owen has NO feelings for Ianto. He has some respect to the man. But when Ianto shot him in the shoulder, Owen was still bitter. Bitter that Ianto did not kill Owen.
Jenni, she was a stranger. Owen does not know what to think of her. She was a bird he met at the bar. She was from London. She was planning to move to Cardiff and be a doctor. She claimed she knew him. Too close for one night stand. He could possibly take her for a walk. He was losing the mood to take up one night stand. Her kiss had changed his needs for now.
He was not sure what was about her, was it the military training she had. Jenni did mention she was in the military. “Hey, why don’t we go for a walk? Have a wrestle match in the park. If I lose…” he stopped himself. He was looking down, he looked at her to the side of his dark eyes. “If I lose you tell me about your military background. And if I win, you tell me about your military back ground.” He was smiling ear to ear too her. He was joking of course, he hated to lose anyways. “But we can always go for a dinner…on the docks?” he figured why not.

Jenni removed her hands from his sides quickly when she saw that he ice noticed. When it seemed like he was pausing to think about other people she rolled her eyes at him. It was such a pain when things like this happened, she wasn't looking for anything really when she got out of the crap hotel she was staying in. Jennifer had mostly been looking for a bit of a pub fight maybe, or even a guy she could just get along with and talk to about things and actually make a friend without beating the shit out of them. This was not part of the plan. Jennifer actually liked this guy for some reason and that was just really annoying.
Jenni smiled at him, showing no emotion at all, even though she liked him a little she still didn't want to get into a relationship with this guy, "Yeah right, i'm sure you wanna get in a fight with me," grinning Jenni gently punched him on the arm, "it wouldn't last long to be honest."
When Owen suddenly asked her out for dinner she was a little surprised though, no one had ever asked her out before, they usually found her too hard edged and Jenni had to punch them when they all said the same thing, 'sorry but you're just not the type i'm looking for.' She wouldn't ive minded a much if she had asked them out but they all just said it out of the blue for no reason. That really pissed her off. "Er... Sure."

Smiling, she was the punch the arm type. “I win the fight all the time,” Owen replied back. He was supposed to win because men winners.
“Good,” Owen replied, feeling relieved. It was good to know he still had some social skill still intact. Working inside Torchwood, dealing with the same people, Owen found it difficult to interact with the outside. He was aware of the news of the world around him. He could not talk about his fave topic, the rift and aliens. It was tempting to get recon and tell someone and recon them. It was a killer to hold this secret about aliens and rifts while the world was not aware of it. Standing and placing his hands in his jean front pockets, he was watching her. She was beautiful. So, he was confused.
Diane will say something like ‘well are you letting me go first? Or you’re going to be all man about it?’ the Medical Doctor was looking at the crowd. It was crowded and he had to make a path for her.
Offering his hand to her, he waited to see if she will accept it. He was wearing the cocky Owen’s half smile because he was waiting to see what she will do.

Jenni's eyes had lingered over the crowd of people for a minute second, she was wary that not all of them were people that she got along with. A lot of them would just be annoying, selfish arseholes that she could do without in her life, but unfortunately there was the odd moment and occasion where she had to deal with them being so close to her. This seemed to be one of those situations. Jenni turned back to look at Owen and flashed him a smile, "You think you could beat me?" The smile quickly dissapeared though when she remembered who she was talking to. What the hell was she doing, she was actually flirting around (in her own little twisted way) with this guy who she'd only just met!
The smile returning to her face, the curiosity peaked, "Why do you keep doing that?" God dammit she would have to start keeping her mouth shut, this guy was messing with her head and she had no idea what to say or do in a situation like this. Usually she could remain at least slightly calm and whenever she lost her nerve she quickly vacated the room. If the pain in the ass decided to follow her she'd then get really stressed out with him. Jennifer couldn't believe that she actually wanted to go and have dinner with Owen, "Thanks. But I'm fine making my own way through," Jenni leant towards him until their lips were almost touching, "Unless you wanna go first?" She brushed her fingertips over his cheek before pulling away and grabbing his arm ready to leave the club behind as soon as possible.

Why do you keep doing that?"
Owen was smiling back to her. The thing was funny. It was like she wasn’t used to the attention. He was curious did she have low self-esteem. Jenni had him wonder about her. More she blush, more he wanted to make her smile. It was funny to watch her get all blushy. Was he evil? Maybe he was?
Thanks. But I'm fine making my own way through," Jenni leant towards him until their lips were almost touching, "Unless you wanna go first?" She brushed her fingertips over his cheek before pulling away and grabbing his arm ready to leave the club behind as soon as possible.
Hold on, maybe she was the evil one. She was playing him now. His body heat rose when she brushed her lips against his and she quickly pulled away. It was like a fantasy tease.
He went first to make way for them to get through. The crowd did move a little because they were all crowded. A man turned to smoke in Owen’s face. It was something the doctor hated, he grabbed the cigarette out of the man’s mouth, flicked it away. “It kills!” oh the man was not happy. The mad smoker stood there shock.
“And who says?” he asked.
“I witness death!” he growled, pulling Jenni along. The man was too drunk to do anything, but yelling at them. “Go blow!” the angry man yelled.
Not sure he was going to make it to the door, Owen stopped to see if Jenni’s was still with him. He was hoping he did not lose her in the crowd.
