Hi there,
I've been browsing around on the board and I read rules and all, but I'm still not quite sure about it. As it happens I am not a native English speaker and I know the Doctor is a bit of a 'central' character, I also haven't yet really figured out the frequencies of your posts you write in character. I do have about six, maybe seven years... of experience playing on RPG boards, but - here it comes - all of that I've spent on German boards. Well, there's one tiny little story we wrote in English to practise.
Long story short, before I snoop around even more and get very interested in something I can't have. I'd like to know if you could warm up to a Doctor that is born neither in the UK nor the US. If yes, I will definitely snoop some more. I could also provide you with a sample post (in English of course, well, you could also have one in German, but I doubt that would be of any use...).
Cheers, Lily

First I will say that your English seems perfectly fine to me so I don't think you've a problem there.
Second, the Doctor, while prefectly welcome isn't as central to this game/plot/board as he would be to a Doctor Who focused one, so again if that was a concern, you're fine there too.
Third, our actually game play/posts can be a bit erratic as we've all got lives that get a little wibbly-wobble and hectic from time to time and because of that I run a fairly relaxed ship. However, most of us have been here since the very beginning and there has almost always been play going on somewhere on the board, even if it's just a couple of posts a month.
I hope that helps!
Also, sorry for the delay, I'm one of those with the wibble-wobbly life at the moment. ;-)

Hey,
No bother, really. The wibbly-wobbly thing, I'm not living a very calm life either. In fact, I frequently do things that makes people doubting my sanity. (For example, last year I went off to study in China for two semesters.) That's probably one of the reasons I feel drawn to playing the Doctor I'm a bit of a traveller myself. I think the central character thing came across slightly wrong. I didn't intend on him being all that important in the game at all (I don't like big shot characters in these kind of games that draw all the attention). I rather meant, since he is a main character of one of the two shows you based the game on, you might want to have somone you see cut for the role in orther to get the authenticy and a foreigner might not be able to make that cut.
I'm the kind of player that, free time provided, might post twice a day, but if real life is busy I take up to a week before I answer. Although I do try to answer at least once a week. And I generally don't throw a fuss if somone doesn't answer within a week. I'll go asking if everything's alright with them after maybe ten days to two weeks. But I completely understand that real life might be a tad more important than playing games online. ^^
Anyway, I've been babbling again. Thanks for the answer and I suppose I'll snoop around a little more and perhaps - if I can muster the courage to play with actual native speakers - I'm going to register.
Cheers

I played Ten here and gave him up. He is a great character but he is less the main character as the boss man stated. I don't think you slow things down if something pops up.

Hi I've been reading the messages on this subject, due to circumstances The Doctor will always be a huge part in our lives. My dear friend Capt. jack and all of the Doctors companions will know HOW important he his and i know that they including me will be honored to lay down our lives to save him unless his death is a fixed point in time. The Doctor is our hero we all as companions worship him, and when the time comes for the Doctors death it won't just be earth that will feel sorrow it will be the whole universe.

Hello everybody! Actually I am glad I've found this thread... becauuuuseeee... I basically have the same questions/problems. First of all I am not a native speaker of English (unfortunately), but nevertheless I'd love to give it a try Second... ist the Doctor still available for joining the game? I don't care whether he's the center of the story or not. I simply enjoy writing him The more the better. But I don't need to be in the spotlight. And last but not least... still playing anyone? Okay, should've placed that first, buuuuut.... Would be happy to get an anwer, guys Yours, Anna
